Courtney's birthday was May 15th...I've been sooo busy lately that I didn't have any time to go shopping. Then it finally hit me....I should make her something! Duh! Courtney loves peacocks so I used the peacock as the theme for a stationery suite including notecards, greeting cards, notepads, and a stamp. Everything turned out beautifully. I had so much fun designing it....Happy Birthday Courtney!
So my friend Angela called on me to design a 5.5x8.5in double-sided postcard for Freedom Title of Texas to be used at the upcoming Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) conference in June. Because Freedom Title is locally owned, she wanted to convey that working for Freedom Title places fewer restrictions (red tape) on its employees than other larger title companies. She wanted the design to be simple and vibrant so it would stand out among all the handouts conference attendees are likely to receive.
Who is Freedom Title anyway?
Freedom Title is a locally owned and operated title company specializing in residential purchase, sale, and refinance transactions throughout the state of Texas.
Kathy, owner of Trumps Interiors, gave me a call to ask for a reprint of a business card I designed about a year ago for her interior design business. She wanted the card to be unique and contemporary and to reflect her aesthetic as a designer. We collaborated to create something truly unexpected :)
Who is Kathy Amparan anyway?
Kathy is the owner, founder, and fabulous interior designer of Trumps Interiors in Fort Worth, TX. Her contemporary style, sixth sense for fabrics, and touch of glamour make her designs wonderfully distinctive.
The Store Hours vinyl decal I designed for Leah's Sweet Treats finally came in and it looks fantastic!
Who is Leah anyway?
Leah is the owner and founder of Leah's Sweet Treats in Fort Worth, TX. To see some of her amazing culinary concoctions visit her website (which I designed by the way) at leahssweettreats.com.
My husband Tim is an avid Tweeter...over the last couple of years he's become friends with some of his Twitter buddies. One of those buddies, Joe Morris, is working to start a new charity organization that will supply footwear for migrant workers in California. Tim came up with the name Charitable Soles and the two of us worked together to create the logos...right now the logos are only black and white but we'll add color as we work on brand identity. I am honored to be a part of this project and hope that the charity will make a difference in many lives.
What is Charitable Soles anyway?
•Sneakerheads have closets of shoes...new and old. Many of which will never see the light of day.
•Charitable Soles works to tap into the sneakerhead community to solicit shoe donations which will directly benefit the homeless.
•Shoes which carry resale value will be sold via onlie auction and the profit will be used to purchase multiple pairs of quality footwear (prefer Made in USA New Balance*)
•Wearable shoes with little/no resale value will be donated to migrant workers directly.
•The idea is to put quality footwear on the feet of people who otherwise may go without adequate footwear.
