Nuthing New Logo

My sister-in-law Marqui has a birthday in September. She's super crafty and is always creating amazing stuff. A couple of months ago she made a belt out of t-shirt yarn and used a Civil War era horse bridle clasp as a buckle...really...it's amazing...since then we've all decided that she should go into business and sell all the great things she makes. We aren't exactly sure if this is something she wants to do or not but what the hey...who doesn't need a little nudge now and then...soooooo....my brother/her husband Michael came up with a business name for her...Nuthing New and he asked me to design the logo for it...I had so much fun with it. He took the logo and used it to design mini business cards as well as a one page site so she can show-off her work...check out the belt I was talking about at nuthingnew.com Love it!

Food Photography for Mariposa's Latin Kitchen

My husband Tim took some incredible food photos for Mariposa's Latin Kitchen last week. The owners, Crystal and Irma, were thrilled with them! They posted them on Facebook and somehow got in touch with a food writer for the Fort Worth Star Telegram who liked their business concept (done by Crystal and Irma), their brand identity (done by me), and their photos (done by Tim) so much that he's going to do a feature on the restaurant...incredible! I'm so excited for them and their success!

P.S. You can see more of Tim's amazing photography at his website www.photographiceye.net

Leah's Sweet Treats FALL FLAVORS

The 4x6 vertical postcard for Leah's Sweet Treats Fall Flavors just came in and I'm totally in love with it! One of the things that's so cool about Leah is that she lets me step outside of her logo colors to create things that really match the mood I'm trying to create. I wanted to give this postcard a "Fall-ish" vibe since she's advertising fall flavors...duh...and the little owl is so adorable I've added him to the homepage of her website :) I went into her bakery yesterday and she told me people are going crazy over the new flavors...I think she sold out of every flavor the first day she introduced! So fun!

Keepsake Biographers Business Cards

I've been soooo busy lately that I haven't had a chance to post all the stuff I've been working on :) Mike and Lori asked me to design a business card for their new venture Keepsake Biographers. It turned out great!

What is Keepsake Biographers anyway?
Lori and her husband and starting this super cool new business. They plan to interview people's parents and grandparents and compile a sort of "Life Story" that will be preserved in a hard bound book for future generations. Think about it....all the stories your grandparents told you as a kid could be written down so you can read those same stories to your grandchildren. Like bedtime stories except the characters are your own family members! Really cool.
